About:
If Adobe Acrobat/Reader doesn’t crash then the file is OK, but if you watch the Page File usage in the windows task manager, you can see the page file usage go up very rapidly until the file crashes. As usual, I read these files via Safari or open it separetly via Adobe Reader itself. While working on Papers, I noticed that my machine's memory spiked to 7 GB ++ almost reaches 8GB of memory usage. This is unusual. Preview is a simple application for viewing images and PDFs in Mac OS X. Preview uses Apple’s implementation of Adobe’s PDF specification. The crazy thing is I’ve found a lot of people either don’t know it exists, don’t know it works with PDFs or they are using Adobe Reader/Acrobat instead.
Adobe Acrobat Reader DC software is the free global standard for reliably viewing, printing, and commenting on PDF documents.
And now, it's connected to the Adobe Document Cloud − making it easier than ever to work across computers and mobile devices.
It's the only PDF viewer that can open and interact with all types of PDF content, including forms and multimedia.
